The Tomlinson Ryan Trust say Paul Dickov’s budget will be unaffected if their Crowdfunder scheme fails to reach its £2 million target by tomorrow.
The fundraising total stood at just over £750,000 when the Free Press went to press.
A spokesperson for the Trust said: “The playing budget that Paul Dickov gets when the Trust take over will allow Paul to compete at this level as he looks to get us back into the Championship.
“The Crowdfunder project will not affect this in any way.
“It is a multi-faceted project that is not all about finance but getting the club a global and national presence.”
John Ryan and Dickov have both said on record that Doncaster will have a top end League One budget at their disposal, once the takeover is formally completed.
The Tomlinson Ryan Trust launched last month with an aim of raising £2m by July 18.
