GOALS from Jacob Gibson and Chris Whincop kept Rovers in touch with the Football League Alliance leaders.

Gibson rose to powerfully head home Paddy Mullen’s 36th minute corner to break the deadlock.

Four minutes later Whincop netted a fine individual goal, dribbling past three Bradford defenders before slotting home.

Jordan Ball and Whincop went close to extending Doncaster’s lead after the break but Paul Stancliffe’s side were never in any danger of losing their grip on the game.

Rovers are currently fourth in the North East section of the Football League Alliance, behind leaders Hull City, Darlington and Chesterfield.

They host Lincoln City at Cantley Park on Saturday (11am).
