GAVIN Baldwin has joined the board of Doncaster Rovers.
The former Keepmoat Stadium boss has left a senior management role at Doncaster Council to become Rovers’ new director of operations.
Baldwin’s appointment is likely to increase speculation that Rovers are close to securing a deal to take over the council-owned Keepmoat Stadium.
A Rovers spokesperson said: “We are very glad to have him on board and sure that his expertise will be invaluable to the club.”
Baldwin, a former professional rugby union player, is the former chief executive of the Dome Leisure Trust.
He is chairman of Doncaster’s 2012 Olympic Committee.
