BRUCE Dyer is in Doncaster this weekend to tell his story.
The former Doncaster Rovers and Barnsley striker became the first ever £1 million teenager in British football when he left Watford for Crystal Palace in 1994.
A devoted Christian, Dyer is said to claim that religion helped prolong his footballing career.
Dyer, who scored once for Doncaster between 2006 and 2008, will be at Edenthorpe Community Centre this Sunday.
The event, which starts at 6pm, is organised by Doncaster Life Church and admission is free. It will also include a sports quiz and curry supper.
Edenthorpe Community Centre is located on Cedric Road, Edenthorpe, and further details can be obtained from Les Budhi on 0778 6967025.
