THE Gunners blew the Belles away with a masterclass in passing and finishing as part of a Doncaster double-header on Saturday.
Super League leaders Arsenal were out of sight by half time after a brace by Jordan Nobbs and a smart finish from Katie Chapman.
Belles stemmed the tied after the break but Kim Little rounded off a fine move to seal a comfortable victory.
For the 372 fans that stayed behind after watching Rovers lose to Crawley, Arsenal showcased the sort of style which has made them the leading force in the women’s game in recent years.
Doncaster were chasing shadows for most of the first half and did not help themselves with their defending as Kelly Smith twice waltzed through to tee up Jordan.
Chapman was then given the freedom of the penalty area to blast the visitors into an unassailable half time lead.
Belles went close through Millie Bright after the break but it was Arsenal who extended their lead when Little fired home from the edge of the area after some superb build-up play.
John Buckley’s side are back in action at the Keepmoat Stadium on Thursday night against Lincoln Ladies (7.30pm).
