College Dons miss out in Carnegie Cup

DONCASTER College Dons, the College's rugby league team, lost 40-20 against a strong Wakefield College side in the first round of the Carnegie College Cup at the Lakeside Sports Complex.

Dons centre Scott Jones, played in the game after receiving clearance from the club.

Seventeen-year-old Scott, who has featured in Dons' pre-season games, is currently studying on the College's BTEC National Diploma in Sport and Exercise Science course at The Hub.

It was the first time the College Dons had played in the new kit which was donated by the National League Two club.

The College runs a host of sports-based courses and runs a number of sports teams for students.
