Doncaster Rovers Belles are still to get off the mark in FAWSL1 after losing 2-1 at Birmingham City.
In a fast and furious encounter, watched from the stands by England head coach Mark Sampson, striker Natasha Dowie gave the Belles a sixth-minute lead with her first goal for the club.
But by the half-hour mark the Blues were in front through goals by Freda Ayisi and Mel Lawley.
Belles are now the only team in FAWSL1 without a point.
They go to Manchester City, who have won three out of three, on Monday.
