DONCASTER Rovers Belles are just two wins away from a coveted place in the Women’s Champions League.

And that’s before a ball has even been kicked in the new Super League!

John Buckley’s side were superb 1-0 winners at Super League rivals Chelsea in the fifth round of the FA Cup on Sunday.

The Football Association has ruled that the two FA Cup finalists will represent England in next season’s premier European competition.

So the Belles will travel to Liverpool in the last eight later this month knowing victory would leave them one win away from a historic European adventure.

Buckley said: “The girls played really well at Chelsea and all of a sudden we’re two games away from Europe.

“It’s been quite a surreal start to the season - what with the switch to the summer - so this is just the latest twist!

“Obviously the girls are talking about the Champions League and there’s a lot of excitement.”
