Robinson’s Dons return

NEWLY-elected Dons’ skipper Craig Robinson will be back in action in Sunday’s final warm-up game against a Doncaster Amateur Select at Wheatley Hills RUFC’s ground.

The back-rower missed the spirited defeat against Sheffield Eagles at the Keepmoat Stadium last weekend after sustaining a badly cut ear in the win over Hunslet the previous week.

Kyle Bigg is also back in the frame after sitting out the derby game.

New signing Nathan Powley also suffered a cut ear against Eagles but will feature in the match which doubles as part of long-serving winger Dean Colton’s three-month testimonial.

But winger Stu Sanderson, who scored a long-range interception try against the Eagles, is set to miss the game, which kicks off at 2pm, due to personal reasons.

Andy Townend (broken hand) and Grant Edwards (thigh) will also miss out after being injured on Sunday.

Full-back Mick Butterfield is a doubt.
