Paul Dickov has been given assurances he will remain in charge of Doncaster Rovers next season.
The Scot clarified his own position in the immediate aftermath of yesterday’s devastating demotion to League One.
Dickov, 41, was asked whether he will be the manager of Rovers next season.
“Absolutely,” he replied.
“That’s the club’s view and my view.
“We’ve had conversations [about that].
“We’ve got a group of contracted players that we believe provide a fantastic base.
“That was the case regardless of whether we stayed up or we went down.
“All of our efforts now as a club are to make sure we get promoted next year.”
Dickov signed a one-year rolling contract at Doncaster last May when he took the reins from Brian Flynn.
He had previously guided Oldham Athletic to final positions of 17th and 16th in League One.
