ROVERS fans are about to get a taste of the Premier League - thanks to the club’s latest new signing.

Poole’s Pies, Britain’s oldest pie company, will be supplying their range of award-winning match day pies at the Keepmoat Stadium this season.

The Lancashire-based company is branching out into Yorkshire and have secured a contract with Keepmoat catering company EMC.

Poole’s Pies, which have been available at Wigan Athletic for many years, have won the Premier League Best Pie Award for the past three seasons.

Neil Court-Johnston, managing director of Poole’s Pies, said: “We’ve been making high-quality pies in Wigan, the birthplace of the pie, for over 165 years.

“In that time we’ve learned a thing or two about what goes into the perfect sportsman’s pie!

“Sports fans in Doncaster can expect the same generous fillings, high-quality ingredients and wholesome taste that make our pies and pastries a huge hit with consumers across the North West.

“Traditionally our products haven’t been widely available outside Lancashire and the North West, but this is about to change.

“We’re expanding across the Pennines, with an aim to becoming Yorkshire’s favourite pie brand.

“Our ultimate aim is to create a pie that represents Yorkshire and we need the help of Donny fans to achieve it.”

For a chance to win a year’s supply of Poole’s Pies you should ‘like’ the Poole’s Facebook page at www.facebook.com/poolespies and provide a suggestion as to what should go into the new Poole’s Yorkshire Pie.
