BOTH sides got the FA Cup replay they didn't want - but a draw was a fair result at the Keepmoat Stadium.
Nenad Milijas sparked Saturday's third round tie into life when, out of nothing, he powered home a blockbuster 25-yard drive on 38 minutes.
But Rovers' next attack saw Billy Sharp drive home an equally good leveller from distance before James Hayter latched onto John Oster's header and acrobatically put Doncaster ahead two minutes before the break.
Premier League Wolves looked rattled at times by Rovers' passing and movement.
But they were handed a lifeline just before the hour mark when Sam Hird was adjudged to have brought down Matt Jarvis in the box and Stephen Hunt stroked home the resultant penalty.
George Elokobi saw red for a rash challenge on James Coppinger with 20 minutes still to play but the hosts could not make their numerical advantage count and the two teams will replay at Molineux on Tuesday, January 18 (7.45pm).
The eventual winners will be at home to either Cardiff City or Stoke City in the fourth round on Saturday, January 29.
