Doncaster Rovers 2 Derby County 1
ROVERS raided the Rams for three more points with the help of a JET-propelled strike.
Billy Sharp made up for missing a penalty at Preston during midweek by slamming home a 14th minute spotkick after being felled by Jake Buxton.
But it was Jay Emmanuel-Thomas' stunning second half finish which sealed Doncaster's fourth straight league win over Derby since they returned to the second tier of English football.
The Arsenal youngster nonchalantly collected a pass from James Chambers and slammed an unstoppable left foot shot past David Martin into the top corner from the edge of the area.
The sensational 69th minute rocket gave Rovers a deserved two goal cushion.
Moments earlier James Hayter had volleyed over from close range before John Oster side-footed inches wide after the ball had fallen kindly to the midfielder inside the box.
Derby had gone close to an equaliser before the break when former Rovers favourite Paul Green hit the inside of the post with a low 15-yard drive.
And Rob Hulse gave the Rams hope on 74 minutes when he turned Elliott Ward and slotted a left foot shot out of the reach of Neil Sullivan and inside the far post.
But Emmanuel Thomas' goal - his third in three starts for Rovers - proved to be a very worthy match winner.
