Yorkshire League South: Doncaster Town's woes continue

Struggling Doncaster Town lost by 78 runs at Cleethorpes to remain in the relegation zone.

Australian Michael Topp took 3-25 and skipper Luke Townsend claimed 3-37 to help restrict the hosts to 156 all out.

However, Doncaster collapsed to 78 all out in reply.

James Ward and Topp, who both scored 18, at least offered some resistance. Alex Fullerton (3-20), Paul Sunley (3-19) and Harry Clewett (3-8) starred with the ball.

On Sunday Town lost to Sheffield Collegiate in the Group B final of the Yorkshire South Premier League T20 competition on a bowl-out.

Townsend’s men had earlier beaten Sheffield & Phoenix United on a bowl-out on a rain affected day at Aston Hall.
