DONCASTER Town won for the first time this season - by virtue of losing fewer wickets - to march on in the ECB National Knockout Cup.

Nick Morley’s side scrambled to a tie against Nottinghamshire Premier League outfit Papplewick & Linby in a thrilling finish at Town Field on Sunday.

Morley (pictured) himself was stumped off the penultimate ball, leaving youngsters James Dobson and Rhys Mann to nick a leg bye from the final delivery to tie the scores - which was good enough to set up a home tie with Mansfield Hosiery Mills in the next round later this month.
