A SUPERB batting display guided Doncaster Town to their first league win of the season at Castleford on Saturday.

But Nick Morley’s side could not repeat the feat the following day when they lost by 32 runs at home to Mansfield Hosiery Mills in the ECB National Knockout.

Gareth Cox (79) and Amit Kundra (73) led the victory charge at Castleford as Town chased down a target of 230 with nine balls to spare.

Despite a decent effort with the bat on Sunday, Doncaster fell short of Mansfield’s imposing total of 264-4 to bow out of the National Cup.
