For the second time this season Tickhill gave reigning champions Wakefield Thornes a good run for their money.

But a 21-run defeat at Field Lane saw the Doncaster club slip back into the ECB Yorkshire South Premier League drop zone.

Usman Muzaffar was excellent for Tickhill, claiming 6-56 as the home side posted 203 all out.

Openers David White (24) and Ashley Fidler (38) then raised hopes of victory but the middle order caved in.

James Doyle lifted the lower end with 37 but Tickhill fell short as they were dismissed for 182.

Akila Isanka took 3-56 and Steve Morgan swung the game with 5-33.
