Pontefract League round-up: Rossington Main remain on course for promotion

Karl Buxton took 5-16 and Scott Wood claimed 3-26 to restrict Barnby Dun to 101 all out.

Kieren Dinnage top scored for the visitors with 34.

Rossington lost both openers for ducks but Pete Mawdsley, coming in at number three, scored 41 not out to see his team home in 21.4 overs.

Main have a 17-point lead at the top of Division Two.

Barnby Dun are fifth in the table but are just four points adrift of the second automatic promotion spot.

Hooton Pagnell remain in the Division One drop zone following a comprehensive nine-wicket defeat to Sandal.

Hooton could only muster 93 all out. Matthew Harrison top scored with 36.

High-flying Brodsworth Main suffered a surprise defeat to lowly Newton Hill in Division Three.

Main were dismissed for 122 chasing a target of 166.

Michael King struck a century for promtion chasing Bentley Colliery in their 149-run win against South Kirkby.

King contributed 106 of Bentley’s 272-8.

South Kirkby lost wickets at regular intervals in reply as they posted 123 all out.

Brian Loversuch was the pick of the Colliery bowlers, claiming 4-30.
