Fishlake failed to build on their opening day victory as they slumped to an eight-wicket defeat away to defending Pontefract & District Cricket League Division One champions Old Sharlston.

The Doncaster side struggled to 61 all out on a day which saw a number of games lost to the weather.

There was better news for Askern, who coasted to a seven-wicket Division Two win at Allerton. David Longley (4-16) was the pick of the Askern bowlers as they bundled the Castleford side out for 72.

Barnby Dun, for whom Phil Decent (82) and David Barrett (60) impressed with the bat, posted 219-9 away to Whitley Bridge. In reply, the home side were dismissed for 120, Wilkinson leading the way with a 4-21 spell.

Thurnscoe (200-9) claimed a one-wicket Division Three win at Glasshoughton, who had earlier been restricted to 199-8 thanks to a 4-4 haul by Bright.

Yorkshire Main (128 all out) suffered an eight-wicket defeat at Streethouse seconds.

Bullcroft Main were all out for 122 in their Division Five home game against Thorpe Audlin, who edged home with two wickets to spare.

Bentley Colliery seconds had no answer to a 7-8 spell by Tony Smith and were all out for 69 in their Division Seven derby against Bentley Colliery seconds, who had earlier made 118-5.
