Hatfield Town B stump up their first win

HATFIELD Town B recorded their first win of the season in the All Saints Indoor Cricket League with a comfortable victory over fellow strugglers Askern Welfare.

Darren Johnson (32 not out) and Craig Allen (28 not out) were the backbone of their innings as they posted a formidable total of 134-4.

Askern were never up with the run rate despite a useful 33 by Nick Bisby, who continued his fine form with the bat.

But once again he lacked support from his team-mates. Brothers Connah Pattison and Ellis Pattison took two wickets each.

Doncaster Town completed a fourth straight win this time at the expense of Rossington Main. In-form Amit Kundra top-scored with an unbeaten 33 and he well supported by James Dobson and Scot Exley, who both scored 18 as Town reached a total of 102-4.

Rossington looked to be capable of challenging the target, only to fall three runs short despite the best efforts of Scot Wood (39 not out). Gareth Cox (2 for 13) was the only wicket-taker in the Rossington innings.
