Doncaster Town host a Yorkshire League T20 qualifying day on Sunday.

Doncaster Town will be hoping the sun continues to shine on Sunday when they play host to an action-packed day of ECB Yorkshire Premier League T20 cricket.

The club is hopeful that the combination of good weather along with the shorter format of the game will attract a good crowd to Town Field.

A barbecue will be fired up early in the day and refreshments will also be available at the bar.

And there promises to be some meaty action on the field as Doncaster, Barnsley, Sheffield United and Appleby Frodingham go head-to-head in a four-team mini tournament.

The overall winner will qualify for the Yorkshire League’s finals day at Scarborough CC next month, where the winner will progress into the latter stages of the ECB National Club T20 Cup - the final of which is broadcast live on Sky Sports.

Doncaster meet South Yorkshire rivals Barnsley in the day’s first semi-final at 10am.

United face Appleby Frodingham at 1pm and the final is scheduled to start at 4pm.

Teams will wear coloured clothing and compete with a pink ball, as per T20 regulations in the domestic game.
