Conisbrough skipper Gary Strephan has been named Ben Bailey Homes South Yorkshire League Player of the Month for June.
Strephan had an exceptional month, scoring 311 runs to help Conisbrough maintain their lead at the top of Division One, including a sensational 191 not out at Norton Woodseats.
The all-rounder continued in the same vain at Barnsley on Saturday, compiling 55 in a 42-run win at Barnsley B.
Stuart Coleman hit 40 and James Duran made 54 as Conisbrough posted a very healthy 278-8.
In reply Barnsley stuttered early on, reaching 25-2.
Youngsters Goldsby West (45) and Spencer Lavender (53) took up the chase with relish and added 81 for the fourth wicket.
Ahmad Yar (32 not out) and Samuel Adams (36 not out) then compiled 71 unbeaten runs for the seventh wicket but the hosts fell 42 runs short of the Conisbrough total.
Leaders Conisbrough, who have won 13 out of 14 games this season, remain nine points clear of second placed Tickhill.
The St Peter’s Drive outfit have a 19-point cushion between themselves and third placed Darfield.
