ROSSINGTON Main held on to their 100 percent record in in the All Saints Indoor League with victory over Askern Welfare.
Main were all out for 81 despite useful knocks from Scot Wood (26), and Joel Evans (21).
Gavin Williams 2-6, and Jeff Morton 2-24 were Askern’s main wicket-takers. Manuel Bisby claimed three stumpings.
Askern never set about their target with any purpose and fell well short. Gavin Williams completed a good all-round performance with 19 not out.
Unbeaten Barnby Dun bounced back from their disappointing tie the previous week to get their title bid back on track with an emphatic win over gallant Hatfield Main.
Main were restricted to 58-4 as their batsman failed to kick on after reaching double figures (Graham Worrall 15, Mel Bellamy 13, Darren Freebury 13. Josh Oades took 2-9 and there was a wicket apiece from Michael Fell and Scot Rich.
Fell (14) and fellow opening batsman Jay Horne (24 not out) gave Dun (61-1) a match-winning start during which time neither looked in any trouble.
Doncaster Town scored a convincing win over fellow newcomers Maltby MW. Maltby made 76-4 (Liam Parker 30no). Ryan Capstick (29) and James Dobson(25) both retired not out in Town’s reply of 77-1.
Parklands gave Hatfield Town a fright as they set about their bowling attack to hit 96-3 (Scott Hibbert (27 no, Richard Miller (26 ret no) but Paul Davies (31no) and Adil Nasim (21no) guided Town (97-4) to victory.
