AIDAN Hughes is the pride of Andy Crittenden’s Martial Arts Centre after returning from the WKC World Kick Boxing Championships in Canada with a bronze medal.

The 11-year-old, from Armthorpe, secured bronze in point sparring.

“Aidan has been working very hard since he qualified back in February, including winning two national championships,” said master instructor Andy Crittenden.

“We’re very proud of him. He has such a bright future in the sport and at just 11 years of age he is going to get better and better.”

Team ACMAC, meanwhile, continued their impressive year by claiming 17 English championships in five different disciplines at the recent Revolution Tournaments English Championships.

Tia Rowe, Shea Hughes, Jess Corish, Natalie Loy, Stuart Wade, Lucy Shaw, Hayden Lindley, Suneil Singh, David Colley, Aidan Hughes, Liam Wilkinson and Jayden Bogan were all crowned English champions, while ACMAC also picked up the Team of the Year trophy.
