Government Procurement Service recommends Iron Mountain as Sole Provider

Advertorial Feature

With an established record of world-class services across the public sector, global information management company, Iron Mountain, has been named as a preferred supplier within the Government’s Document Storage and Related Services Framework (GPS ref: RM1689).

Part of a government pledge to deliver efficient and more effective procurement, the new £200 million document management framework looks to deliver these twin aims.

This means as a preferred supplier, Iron Mountain’s portfolio of information management services will soon be available to all central and local government, the NHS, educational institutions, the emergency services and several other public sector bodies throughout the UK. The advanced document storage and records management systems that will be utilised in these sectors will include secure shredding, document scanning, data recovery and archive storage.

Simon Duddy, Commercial Director (Public Sector) at Iron Mountain, revealed the company was committed to helping the Government use their information more effectively while saving money.

He added: “We will build on our experience of working with central government, local authorities and NHS Trusts to provide our public sector customers with new services and innovations to meet their fast-changing information needs, while delivering clear cost savings.”

How Iron Mountain can help your business

Secure Shredding: Iron Mountain can visit your office to collect and destroy all confidential waste. Whether you need scheduled off-site service or a one-time clean up, you can expect secure, cost-effective document shredding that guarantees security at every stage. By handling each step of the process, Iron Mountain offers security all the way from collection to destruction and recycling.

Software Escrow: Iron Mountain invented software escrow in 1982 to help companies protect software source code, object code, data and other valuable technology assets. Working in much the same way as an insurance policy, when two parties enter into a licensor/licensee relationship, the source code for the technology in question is deposited into an escrow account.

Document Scanning: Iron Mountain can help increase your ability to store, access and manage documents while also cutting costs. Frequently accessed documents can be scanned and are immediately available in an electronic format. This system minimises your digital conversion costs and makes accessing documents easy. Archiving digitally gives you maximum security and accessibility.

Records Management: Iron Mountain can provide a range of business record management solutions for your specific requirements. These include classification, indexing, purging, destruction and relocation services you need for one-time projects.
