NO need to beat around the bush – if you loved the series, you'll love the movie!
The phenomenon that is Sex And The City has finally returned to us after four agonising years of anticipation for a movie version of one of the most successful, stylish and sexy programmes of the past 20 years. With a fantastic combination of drama f
rom Carrie and Mr Big, more hilarious one–liners from Samantha and even more fabulous designer clothes to stare at in awe, this movie was definitely worth the wait.

Starting with a great introduction to each character and where we left them in 2004, the writers give a well rounded summary of who Carrie, Miranda, Samantha and Charlotte all are; guaranteeing the film to be enjoyed by those who were unlucky enough to have missed the series. So here they all are, three years on Miranda and Steve are your typical family in Brooklyn, Samantha's in LA promoting boyfriend Smith, Charlotte and Harry are happily raising adopted daughter Lily and Carrie and Big, now known as John, are planning their wedding.

As the movie unfolds we begin to see that married life isn't all it's cracked up to be as some shocking revelations are made turning the film back into a story of the four friends and their dealings with men, love, sex and family life.

The film exceeded my expectations in more ways than one. In addition to the great storylines and comedic value of the movie, for me the real star of the film was Kristin Davies who gave an unforgettable performance as Charlotte. Known for her loveable, childlike and innocent manner, she seems to give a stronger and more supportive role.

With a memorable hilarious incident that will make any audience member laugh out loud, Davis gives a very talented performance.

Super sexy and sophisticated, Sex and the City: The Movie is a definite candidate for best movie of the year!
