BEFORE going to see Jimmy Carr, you should ask yourself if you're easily offended. If the answer is yes – stay well away, but if the answer is no – this is a definite must see.
The Repeat Offender tour included every kind of obscenity and vulgarity known to man, but was put together in such a way that made it okay to laugh at and enjoy. The fact that you couldn't help yourself laughing out loud and at the same time thinking
'I shouldn't really be laughing', made his act extremely raw and controversial. But isn't that why we watch comedy shows, to laugh at what we shouldn't, for a bit of cheekiness?

The subject matter of Jimmy Carr's stand-up also varies tremendously, from an immortal Jeremy Clarkson practising the arts of the Jedi, to a cleverly constructed poem comparing war with strip clubs - you definitely didn't get the same joke twice or any feelings of boredom. I was certainly surprised to find that not a single joke was the same as his 2006-07 tour Gag Reflex that I had watched last year. The atmosphere and the quality of talent was the same, but the jokes, the banter between him and the audience, and the extremely quick and clever responses had just gotten better.

Any fan of Jimmy Carr who has seen him live before, will surely agree that his most enjoyable talent is his ability to improvise and interact with his audience. Anyone brave enough to shout out to the round faced comic certainly got taken down within a matter of seconds thanks to Jimmy's quick wit. It is this rapport with the audience that makes each of his shows truly unique as each has different audiences and different responses.

An absolute must-see, Jimmy Carr is truly one of the most talented and intelligent comedians of our day and I know I will definitely be buying another ticket to see him next year. A hilarious and notoriously explicit show which deserves 10/10.
