pupils at a special school have told Labour Party leader Ed Miliband how important every second is when it comes to saving lives.

Mr Miliband, visited North Ridge Community School, in Tenter Balk Lane, Woodlands, as part of the British Heart Foundation and Resuscitation Council UK’s campaign calling on the Government to include emergency life support skills on the National Curriculum.

Children and teachers spoke to Mr Miliband about their training and how it allowed them to take action to come to someone’s aid before professional help arrived.

Mr Miliband, Doncaster North MP, said: “Life-saving skills are vitally important to prevent unnecessary deaths and injuries.”
