A WOMAN has escaped with “minor injuries” after being hit by a train.
The woman was treated by paramedics from the Yorkshire Ambulance service before being taken to Doncaster Royal Infirmary following the incident at Bentley station this morning.
A British Transport Police spokesman said: “Officers from BTP and South Yorkshire Police attended the incident, which was reported to police at 11.16am and is currently being treated as non-suspicious.
“The woman, who had minor injuries, was seen by paramedics from the Yorkshire Ambulance service before being taken to Doncaster Royal Infirmary.
The train involved was the 10.45am Leeds to Kings Cross service.
The line was handed back to Network Rail at 11.41am.
