A WOMAN has been left with “life-changing” injuries after being struck by a train, it has been confirmed.
The 52-year-old remains in a critical but stable condition at Doncaster Royal Infirmary after the incident at Bentley rail station on Saturday.
British Transport Police (BTP) officers were sent to the scene and paramedics also helped to take the Doncaster woman from the tracks.
The incident happened around 4.40pm and is being treated as non-suspicious, a BTP spokesman said.
He added: “Her injuries are believed to be life-changing.”
The train involved was the 4.05pm Leeds to Kings Cross service.
The line was handed back to Network Rail just before 6pm.
