WORK on the A6182 White Rose Way will see some road closures on evenings and on Christmas Day and Boxing Day.
The works are part of the Doncaster Southern Gateway Improvement Scheme and will see a new 184metre bridge lifted into place over the East Coast Main Line during a 48 hour window granted by Network Rail.
Road closures in the area will take place on Saturday, December 17, (9pm to 8am),Sunday (9pm to 6am), Monday, December 19, (9pm to 6am) Sunday, December 24 (9pm) to December 27, (6am) Monday, January 9 (9pm to 6am) and Tuesday January, 10, (9pm to 6am).
The council is working closely with its contractor Balfour Beatty Regional Civil Engineering to minimise disruption. Signs are going up in advance of the works and sign posted diversions will be in place. A map showing the road closures and the diversions is available on: www.doncaster.gov.uk/wrw
The full scheme will see dual carriageway along the A6182 from Junction 3 of the M18 into the town centre.
