AMBITIOUS soldiers are taking part in a 500 mile charity walk - all within a Doncaster supermarket.
Three Territorial Army soldiers from Doncaster are talking turns to walk an incredible 500 miles on a treadmill at Asda supermarket in Lakeside.
Doncaster-based TA soldiers Pte Michael Fiedor, Cpl Lee Gibbons and Pte Nathan Kendall are taking part in the walk to help raise money for wounded soldiers.
To add to the gruelling challenge the soldiers are wearing full Army uniform and carrying 15kg backpacks.
Pte Fiedor, of The Holmstead in Bentley, said: “We are Territorial Army and we have got guys out in Afghanistan and we are also going out next year to do a tour.
“We think that Help for Heroes is definitely an important charity for all the work they do to help injured servicemen.”
The men, who started the walk on Monday, are expected to complete their challenge on Sunday.
They hope to raise hundreds of pounds in aid of the charity.
Founded in 2007, Help for Heroes has raised millions of pounds to help support soldiers injured while serving for the Forces.
