Readers are being asked to have their say and cast their vote for the town’s Community Group of the Year at the Doncaster CVS Community & Voluntary Sector Awards 2014.
Last month we asked readers to send in their nominations for the community group of the year, and it’s now time to make your vote count.
The groups nominated are: Aspergers Youth Club; Altogether 4 Autism; Cavy Corner Guinea Pig Sanctuary; Active Independence; Doncaster parkrun; Friends of Hyde Park Cemetery and Doncaster Foster Carers Association.
The winner of the award will be announced at a glitzy awards ceremony, which is due to take place on December 5 at the Keepmoat Stadium.
People working in Doncaster’s community and voluntary sector are set to be recognised at the awards, which has a total of nine categories including volunteer of the year.
Now it’s down to you to vote for your winner. Simply email your chosen group to firstname.lastname@example.org or post your entry to Community Group of the Year 2014, Doncaster Free Press, 39 Printing Office Street, Doncaster DN1 1TP or vote via our Facebook page by posting on the link to the story.
The winning group will be announced at the Doncaster CVS Community and Voluntary Sector Awards at the Keepmoat Stadium on Friday 5th December. For more information visit www.doncastercvs.org.uk
