Enjoy your Easter Bank Holiday weekend with a free drink on us.

Your favourite read has teamed up with the Park View Sports Bar and Restaurant in Swinton to offer a pint of lager, standard glass of wine (8oz) or single short at the popular venue - for free.

Cut out the coupon from the April 17 edition of the South Yorkshire Times and take it to the pub to claim your free tipple, worth about £3. The coupon is valid between Thursday, April 17, and Wednesday, April 23, 2014.

Pub business manager Michelle Barber-Carr said: “This is a fantastic offer to your readers. Come in and enjoy a free drink. The pub has a very laid back and cosy atmosphere. We offer a range of lagers, ciders, wines and spirits.”

A family fun day and Easter egg hunt is being held at the pub on April 20 from 4pm onwards. The venue regularly hosts live music evenings, featuring many of the region’s top clubland bands.

The bar is open Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 3pm to 11pm, and on Friday and Saturday, between 12 noon and 1am. Open Sunday from noon to midnight.

*This offer is only available for over 18s - proof of identification may be asked for when redeeming the voucher on this page. Log onto www.drinkaware.co.uk for the facts about alcohol.

Meanwhile, other business owners who have teamed up with us for the Owt Fer Nowt offer have told how the scheme has been a success.

Phil Toone, who gave away dog chews from his Mexborough market stall, said: “I had about 30 people take up the offer. It is a good campaign, it gets new customers into the business along with existing ones aswell.”

Flower stall owner Bev Taylor added: “Any sort of free promotion is worth doing, especially when businesses and markets are trying to get more trade in at times like this.”

Coffee Pot Cafe owner Kyle Roberts, 27, said: “This is a great freebie offer for your readers, you get something for free at the end of the day.”

Balby woman Jane Starr, who works at Cooplands in Mexborough High Street, added: “We had at least 20 or 25 people come in using the voucher. I’ve never seen so many people come in as when we ran the offer.”
