Free Press reader, Chris Marshall, took the video when she went to a book signing for the star in Leicester, where she got a number of items signed for Danielle.

Chris said: “Just shows how much Sam Bailey cares about her fans that she did a get well message for Danielle.”

Danielle, of Harris Road, Armthorpe, was left with serious head injuries after the collision, which occurred in Hatfield Lane, Armthorpe on August 10.

The brave teen, who is currently residing at the Magnolia Neurorehabilitation Unit in Tickhill where she receives daily rehabilitation sessions, is making an ‘unbelievable’ recovery according to medics.

The former Doncaster College pupil is now talking, standing and even hopes to be able to go home for Christmas.

Two women, aged 23 and 26-years-old, were arrested in August suspicion of a number of offences including causing serious injury by dangerous driving and failing to stop at the scene of an accident, and have been bailed pending further enquiries.
