A Chair of Governors has assured anxious parents at a beleaguered Epworth school that a proposed Trust scheme would assure a good academic future for their children.
Parents of Epworth Primary Academy pupils packed the hall of South Axholme Academy to hear from its Chair of Governors, Paul Barrett, how both academies could link up under a new trust headed by South Axholme.
Under such a scheme, Epworth Primary Academy would lose its Special Measures category, although regular Ofsted inspections would continue.
But first, the ambitious plans must be approved by Education Minister Lord Nash. A decision is expected soon.
