VIDEO: Industrial blaze breaks out at Doncaster business

Around 30 firefighters have spent over five hours tackling a fire at an industrial premises in Doncaster.

The fire at Askern UK Ltd involves an area of wooden pallets about 100m x 80m in size.

Six fire engines – from Askern, Adwick, Doncaster, Thorne, Dearne and Tankersley stations- were called to the scene.

A high volume pump is being deployed to get extra water on the fire, being drawn from nearby Askern lake.

A South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue spokesman said the fire is under control, but added they expect firefighters to be ‘tackling the blaze all night.’

There are no reports of any injuries.

Firefighters were called to the incident at around 3.30pm.
