Youngsters also enjoyed a range of games and activities, bouncy castle and face painting.

Acts on the main stage included the Black Cat Theatre Group and a martial arts display from the Andy Crittendens Martial Arts Centre.

There was a brief shower early on, but generally visitors enjoyed glorious sunshine.

Stuart Boardman, 41, of organisers Hexthorpe Matters, said: “It has been fantastic to see so many happy faces. It will definitely be back next year.”
