VIDEO: Fallen Korean heroes remembered in Doncaster

A book of remembrance in honour of Doncaster soldiers who died in the Korean War has been placed in the Mansion House.

There are more than 30 names in the book of fallen soldiers from the borough who fought in the 1950-53 conflict.

The flag of the now defunct South Yorkshire Branch of the British Korean Veterans Association is also on display in the mayor’s parlour.

Veteran Terry Dawe, 79, of Beancroft Close, Wadworth, said: “It’s always important to remember the sacrifice people made.”
