People across the borough have attended a candle-lit vigil in aid of a Armthorpe hit and run victim who is fighting for her life in hospital.

Over 50 well-wishers lit a candle outside the Mansion House at 2pm this afternoon for Danielle Stoton, who was critically injured in a collision with a car when she was walking home from a party in the early hours of Sunday morning.

Danielle, 18, is in a coma, and is receiving treatment for head injuries at intensive care unit at Sheffield’s Royal Hallamshire Hospital, where parents Michelle and Paul Stoton are keeping a bedside vigil.
