A big name celebrity chef will be involved with a function involving Isle farmers in the new year.
Farmers from the Epworth area are expected to be among those taking part in the inaugural Lincolnshire Rural Charities’ Dinner on Thursday April 10.
And organisers have confirmed television chef, Simon Rimmer, who hosts Sunday Brunch with Tom Lovejoy on Channel Four, will provide what they say will be a fantastic menu from Lincolnshire’s locally-sourced ingredients.
Officials from the county’s National Farmers Union say there will be a chance to find out about the work of the four charities benefiting from the evening’s proceedings.
They are Lincolnshire Rural Support Network (LRSN), Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire Air Ambulance, Lincolnshire Agricultural Society and Lincolnshire Chaplaincy Services.
Dinner sponsors Brown and Co, land agents and agri business consultants, Wilkin Chapman solicitors, Clydesdale Bank and Smailes Goldie Turner, accountants, together with champagne reception sponsors Limagrain and charity film sponsors AB Agrii, are involved with the fundraising event which will be held at the Epic Centre, at the Lincolnshire Showground.
For details of the event, contact NFU regional office on 01572 824250 or telephone Sophie Dunn at LRSN on 07738 741150.
