TWo pupils have been selected to act as role models following their appointment as head boy and girl.

Tom Williams, from Stainforth, and Dunscroft’s Megan Gee are the new leaders at Thorne Trinity Academy and will step into their senior roles when the current head girl and boy, Imogen Raper-Linley and Evan Johnson, leave next year.

The 16-year-olds, who have just moved up to the academy’s sixth form, were introduced by principal Ian Brew at a whole school assembly.

Megan, whose GCSE results this summer included 11 A* marks, and Tom, who is studying A-Levels in economics, mathematics, IT and English, will be supported by 140 prefects and house captains Sian Randall, Matthew Robinson, Carla Kendall, Nicholas Allen, Charlotte Davey and Connor Swift.
