Tributes have been paid to a popular and much loved Doncaster entertainer on the clubland circuit who died in Poland.
Paul Davis - who used the stage name Paul Price died in hospital in Bialystok, Poland after a short illness.
Mr Davis, 67 was born and bred in Wheatley Doncaster and was a regular on the clubland circuit both in the UK and abroad.
The singer and performer had moved to Poland 15 years ago where he was teaching English and also running his own garden centre.
Mr Davis died on November 7 and his ashes were interned and scattered in his garden centre in Poland.
Speaking about his brother Phill Davis said: “He was very outgoing and always a bit of a joker, he was always telling jokes.
“He was incredibly hard working and very well known on the club circuit, he started performing in the 1960s.
“He was a very intelligent man and loved teaching in Poland.
“Although he had moved to Poland he had many friends in Doncaster who will remember him and remember seeing him perform in Doncaster.”
Phill travelled over to Poland to visit his brother just before his death and was there for the cremation service.
But Phill is also considering holding a special memorial service for his brother in Doncaster so his friends and family can gather to remember the entertainer and pay tribute to the star.
