Temporary traffic arrangements will be in place in the coming weeks to allow essential gas mains replacement work to take place safely on a section of the A19 Bentley Road.
From Monday, 22 August for up to three weeks, works will start on the A19 Bentley Road close to Yarborough Terrace with the one-way left turn into Yarborough Terrace heading towards Doncaster closed. Traffic lights will be in operation and temporary parking restrictions in place on the north eastern side of Bentley Road.
The work is being carried out by the M1 Corridor Gas Alliance, a partnership between National Grid and Amec.
The work has been carefully planned with Doncaster Council to minimise the impact on the road network with the start dates delayed while major works on the A630 Balby Road have been taking place.
With inbound lanes now fully open on Balby Road and the outbound lanes to be open by Friday 2 September, these important utility works have been programmed to begin.
Motorists are advised that the works may result in delays particularly during peak hours.
