This was the shocking scene on a Swinton street this morning, after a car crashed into a house.

Emergency services were called at around 1.15am this morning (Tuesday, October 6) to reports of a collision in Rowms Lane, Swinton.

It is reported that a silver Seat Leon was in collision with a property in Rowms Lane, causing extensive damage.

A blue Seat Altea is also understood to have been involved in collision with a number of parked vehicles on the street, causing damage.

The residents of the property were evacuated overnight as a precautionary measure and the road was closed.

It has since been reopened.

Nobody is believed to have suffered any serious injuries.

Witnesses to the collision, or anyone with information, is asked to call 101 quoting incident number 39 of October 6, 2015.
