IMPORTANT bridge works will force a busy stretch of Doncaster motorway to close overnight.
The Highways Agency has warned drivers the A1(M) will be shut in both directions between junction 35 near Wadworth and junction 37 at Marr next week.
Motorists will have to find alternative routes from 9pm on Monday until 5am on Tuesday.
The closure will allow the Highways Agency to carry out maintenance work on two bridges close to junction 36.
Clearly-signed diversions will take northbound traffic from junction 35 along the M18, White Rose Way and Trafford Way through Doncaster town centre. Drivers will then follow York Road and Barnsley Road to rejoin the A1(M) at junction 37.
Southbound traffic will follow the same route in reverse.
Signed diversions will also be in place from the northbound and southbound entry slip roads at junction 36.
Delays are expected to be minimal but drivers are advised to plan ahead and allow extra time for their journeys.
