Adwick rail death dad is named

A MAN killed by a high speed train on the line near Adwick has been named by police.

Richard Straw died at the scene when he and his three-year-old daughter were hit by an East Coast service on Monday lunchtime.

The girl was airlifted to Sheffield Children’s Hospital. She was in a critical condition, the British Transport Police said.

Officers are continuing to investigate how Mr Straw, 28, from Bentley, and the girl were on the track. Police are not seeking anyone else in connection with the incident.
