People of all ages across Doncaster are being invited to take part in Splash Academy – a plan to get the town swimming.
Doncaster Culture and Leisure Trust is launching its new academy this week (Aug 15) in a bid to see more people learn to swim.
Michael Hart, Interim Chief Executive of the Trust said: “Splash Academy is our first trust wide initiative including all our venues with a pool.
“Learning to swim is a fun and important thing to do, no matter what age you are. We welcome babies from six months old to adults.
“Our message is to come along, try it out, have fun and stay safe. Our instructors all follow the Amateur Swimming Association (ASA) National Plan for Teaching swimming.”
The lessons are running now at Askern, Armthorpe, Adwick, Dearne Valley Leisure Centre, Edlington, Rossington, St James, The Dome and Thorne.
They run continually in ten week blocks apart from at the Dome which runs term time lessons starting on Monday September 5.
Prices are £4.70 per lesson with a discount to £3.60 per lesson for leisure card holders.
