Top footballer Neal Bishop from Scunthorpe United made a special visit to Epworth to pass on tips to children at the Skools Out holiday club.

The Scunthorpe midfielder had a keen group of youngsters anxious to pick up tips as he put them through their paces on ball control at the Children’s Centre playing field.

The football training was one of the many special activities organised for the children at Skools Out in the holidays which next week will see them take part in Epworth’s own version of the Olympics followed by a chocolate party.

Skools Out was started a year ago by experienced local childminders Linda Wood and Alex Heighington to meet the growing need for childcare in the Isle and now provides a full range of care options for pre-school, after school and holidays.
