TicToc girls’ success

Two teenage girls from Doncaster are the face of a new Samsung Mp3 player after winning a competition to star in a Korean TV advert.

Emily Doherty from Intake, and Beth Yates of Armthorpe, both 16, entered a competition on Facebook to become the Samsung TicToc girls and were flown over to Seoul, South Korea, to shoot the music video.

The girls learnt a dance routine from a video tutorial and posted it online.

It was pitted against videos from a host of different countries including Germany, France and Spain.

Danum School and Technology College pupil, Beth said: “It was a really good experience and I will never forget it.”

Emily, also of Danum School, added: “I was a bit nervous but when I got into it I started to enjoy it.”
